SIMULATION
Rogers A, Di Rocco J, Soung P, Simulated Pediatric Respiratory Workshop. MedEdPORTAL; 2014. Available from: mededportal.org/publication/9693
This project was a joint effort between the Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric chief resident at the time, Dr. Amanda Rogers, and Dr. Paula Soung, a pediatric hospitalist colleague, and myself. Our goals were to create a useful workshop that would prepare an incoming class of interns to recognize and manage respiratory distress prior to their first busy winter respiratory season. We found that interns were able to improve their knowledge on pre- and post-tests following this interactive workshop, which they also rated highly. One comment of feedback can be viewed within the mededportal link of a satisfied customer of the materials we provided.

TEACHING ROTATION
3/2015 Di Rocco, J, Saito, C and Patel, S, “Creating an Individualized Senior Resident Teaching Experience,” Poster Presentation at the Association for Pediatric Program Directors’ National Spring Meeting, Orlando, Florida. Link to Poster
Supplemental Website to Senior Resident Teaching Experience Poster: This is the website that the QR code within the poster directed people to view if they scanned the code via a smart phone or tablet device. Meant to provide more of a description of the rotation as well as resources that may assist other programs in creating a similar rotation.
Scanned APPD 2015 Poster Critiques: Evaluations were passed out to interested people who stopped at the poster. In summary, most agreed the poster was visually appealing and got the message across. Some suggested a larger font for easier reading. Verbally people gave feedback that the QR code directing them to the website was very helpful and innovative.
